Nutrition Committee (NUT)

The Nutrition Committee deals with issues relating to nutrition which affect, or have the potential to affect, the interests of the UK food and drink manufacturing industry. This includes developments in the science in relation to diet and health, product reformulation, portion sizes, nutrient profiling, and nutrition labelling including front of pack approaches and nutrition and health claims.

The committee meets four times per year and is is attended by member representatives within nutrition and technical roles. For information about the committee priorities, please see the Nutrition Committee Overview & Priority Issues Matrix. 

The Nutrition Committee has three working groups on reformulation, fibre and health metrics.

The Nutrition Committee is a sub-committee of the Diet and Health Committee.
