On Thursday 22 September between 10h30-11h30 we have organised a one-off presentation from the communications agency WA Comms for members which will look at the current political state of play following the appointment of the new Government and what this means for the food and drink manufacturing sector in particular.
This is not a compulsory meeting but intended as a means to provide additional political insight and intelligence outside of the monthly CAG events that we usually host for members. Presenting will be Steve Richards, the political broadcaster and columnist (and who is a Senior Adviser at WA Comms) and Amy Fisher, former Conservative special adviser to five Secretaries of State (and who is a WA Comms Director). WA Comms' presentation on the ‘First impressions of the new Government’ will include:
- An assessment of the new Government's priorities
- Ministerial appointments
- Reaction to the emergency budget
- A look forward to the party conferences as the Conservatives and Labour seek to set their policy agendas
- The crises that are likely to actually govern political events
- How this all affects political messaging and positioning
Steve and Amy will also field questions on the above and any other topics of relevance to you. The event will be hosted in hybrid form - in the FDF offices and online.
