The Belvoir export channel has enjoyed a steady growth trajectory during the last five years, growing to represent £5m in GSV and 20% of business turnover in 2021. This has been achieved despite Brexit (50% of sales go to the EU) and the impact of Covid on out-of-home outlets.

The entry focuses on one particularly successful region, the Middle East. Sales grew by 192%/ £46k between 2017 – 2021 and are set to grow by another 51% (£36k) in 2022. Success has come from focusing on core brand story (harvesting the flowers and making the Elderflower drinks ourselves) and activating as follows:
- Working with a UK co-packer to ensure market compliance and swift turn on of marketing campaigns using our bottles as a communication tool.
- Focusing comms around one variant in particular within the range; Elderflower & Rose (a very popular Middle Eastern taste).
- Themed and timely marketing from a cultural point of view (Ramadan) and from a brand point of view (Elderflower Harvest).
