Ethan Hogan, Grocery Manager - MOTH Drinks
20 September 2024
Mix of total happiness: MOTH. Leading MOTHs grocery channel and building a high performing team to support him, 26-year-old Ethan Hogan has taken on the world of cocktails and in under two years has helped drive MOTHs leadership position as the UK’s number one premium RTD. He has successfully grown his channel by 660% and is leading a growing team driving 80% of MOTHs business.
Topics
Ethan joined MOTH back in 2022 to maximise growth in Sainsbury’s, Tesco, WHSmith, and Waitrose. His main responsibilities were building relationships with the retailers and handling the commercial functions, forecasting, reporting, and co-managing execution of the marketing strategy in Grocery.
Entering food and drink through an unpaid internship, Ethan was one of the few interns in that cohort that wasn’t privately educated and living in London. As he continues his career, he would like to focus on bringing young people from more diverse and challenging backgrounds into the exciting world of food and drink.
Following success in his experience with growing national retailers himself, Ethan is moving into a leadership role that will be managing a team of four this year. This continued progression will be supported with management training, more detailed knowledge of the grocery code and best practise, and support in coaching/mentoring from leaders in other established, trailblazing brands.
Co-Founder, Rob Wallis said
“Ethan is a valued, trusted and much-loved member of the MOTH team, never without a smile, whatever the situation. He is now leading a growing team driving 80% of MOTHs business and continues to be a breath of fresh air while driving MOTH forward.”
Ethan’s next career milestone that he is working towards will be Head of Grocery, followed by Head of Retail as he replicates the success he has achieved in grocery into other channels in the business. Looking longer term, Ethan’s future ambition is to build young CPG brands to global, multi-million pound brands, turning innovation into mainstream.
