Heat Recovery & Heat Pumps for the Food & Drink Sector

It is widely recognised that heat recovery and heat pumps have a very substantial role to play in decarbonising the food and drink sector. This webinar will be hosted jointly by Ramboll and Devro plc (a subsidiary of Saria Food & Pharma). Ramboll UK has a well-established Industrial Decarbonisation team, and Devro is a leading global food product manufacturer based in Scotland.
The two companies have collaborated over the past three years to establish a suite of practicable, bankable heat recovery and heat pump projects to support delivery of the Devro’s ambitious Net Zero targets. The webinar will provide an overview of this work from both the engineering (Ramboll) and operator (Devro) perspectives, drawing on lessons learned and the factors that have led to rapid project execution.
The webinar should be attended by anyone looking to explore cost-effective solutions for the decarbonisation of manufacturing process heating systems through heat recovery, heat pumps and electrification. It will describe current and emerging technical solutions, their cost and carbon benefits, and lessons learned / practical issues relating to their implementation.

Guy Robertson– Senior Market Manager, Ramboll Energy UK
Guy is an experienced environmental professional with more than three decade’s experience in industrial resource efficiency. He has spearheaded the development of a dedicated Industrial Decarbonisation service at Ramboll UK and now leads business Development across Ramboll’s UK Energy business.

Amey is an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a practical background in contracting in the industrial heating sector. He is currently leading a dedicated team of Industrial Decarbonisation engineers working to decarbonise manufacturing facilities across the UK.

Muir has 36 years working with Devro and is an experienced Sustainability Engineer with 25 years leadership experience in Food Manufacturing. He is a driven and passionate leader, skilled in facilitating and deploying continuous sustainability improvement. He has led Devro’s ambitious and successful Net Zero programme.
