Food Safety Committee

The Food Safety Committee (FSC) enables FDF members to stay up to date with topical food safety issues and regulatory developments that affect, or have the potential to affect, the UK food and drink manufacturing industry.

The FSC is supported by several specialist regulatory committees, which monitor the detailed developments in areas such as contaminants and additives and FSC maintains an overview of their work and provides a strategic steer on significant and cross-cutting developments. The FSC guides the work on horizon scanning for emerging food safety issues, plus provides food safety expertise to support our work on international trade and environmental sustainability.

Next FSC meeting dates: 8 May 2025 interim call (10-11am), 3 July 2025 meeting, 18 September 2025 interim call (10-11am) & 27 November 2025 meeting
