Employment and Skills Forum (ESF)
As the largest employer in UK manufacturing with nearly 500,000 employees, food and drink manufacturers are focused on recruiting new talent and upskilling its workforce across the country. The FDF’s Employment and Skills Forum (ESF) provides HR professionals a place to discuss key issues including:
- Promoting apprenticeships and greater flexibility within the apprenticeship system including the Levy
- National Living Wage
- Access to labour and UK immigration policy
The Forum will convene as necessary to discuss specific topic areas.
Committee purpose
The FDF’s Employment and Skills Forum meets as needed to discuss key issues which affect the workforce. Recent discussion has focused on the EU Settlement Scheme and the future immigration system. Other the key issues include the National Living Wage, Apprenticeship Levy, and Inclusion & Diversity.
