The Manufacturing Technology Centre

The MTC develops and proves innovative manufacturing processes and technologies in an agile, low risk environment, in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. We focus on delivering bespoke manufacturing system solutions for our customers. The MTC was established in 2010 with the objective of bridging the gap between academia and industry.

MTC is wholly interested in the production side of the Food and Drink industry. We actively look for existing and novel approaches to solving challenges in food production. Whether this is the more efficient use of data, new automation solutions or controlling waste (of all types) around the site.

The MTC can use its' experience in other industry sectors to benefit the Food and Drink industry. As an RTO we actively work in government sponsored programmes such as Innovate UK and Horizon 2020 and any work undertaken with us qualifies you for R&D tax credits.
