Food Ingredients Committee (FIG)
The Food Ingredients (FIG) Committee covers issues relating to functional food ingredients and food improvement agents which affect, or have the potential to affect, the interests of UK food and drink manufacturers. It monitots the risk analysis procedures in the UK (as well as at EU and Codex level) in relation to the use of food additives, flavourings, enzymes and processing aids.

Committee purpose:
- Monitors regulatory and scientific developments relating to food additives, flavourings, enzymes and processing aids.
- Works with UK authorities and relevant stakeholders, including FoodDrinkEurope, to influence developments in national, EU and international policy on food additives.
- Supports members in anticipating and implementing legislation on food ingredients
