Food Microbiology Committee (MIC)
The Food Microbiology (MIC) Committee works on topics related to food microbiology, food hygiene and food safety management which are of interest to the UK food and drink manufacturing industry. The committee's main activities include seeking to influence developments in relation to food hygiene legislation, national food standards, and microbiological food safety.

Committee purpose
- To use technical expertise to advise and guide the FDF and its members on microbiological food safety issues and concerns.
- To maintain and strengthen relationships with relevant stakeholders concerning all aspects of food microbiology, including: FSA, UKHSA, DEFRA and WRAP.
