Organic Committee (ORG)

The Organic Committee (ORG) is the representative and influential voice of FDF members operating in the organic food and drink sector. The committee promotes the sector and represents its interests and viewpoint to Government Departments, research bodies, external committees and similar on relevant issues.

By ensuring that the organic sector interests are represented on appropriate FDF committees, the committee will represent the sector within the FDF regarding regulatory proposals. Where appropriate the committee will also liaise with and support organisations, such as organic certification bodies, retailers, research and trade and public bodies.

The committee meets three times per year. The Secretariat shares regulatory and technical issues relevant to the organic food and drink sector.
