FDF Cymru
FDF Cymru utilises the wider expertise in this area in the FDF team, and co-ordinates our engagement with FSA Wales, Public Health Wales and Welsh government on policy development and consultations that are important to our sector.
Consultation responses are fed directly into Welsh stakeholders, with FDF member feedback used to inform debate regarding the development areas of diet and health policy that are devolved to Welsh Government.
Current consultations that we are co-ordinating are on Healthy Weight Healthy Wales and plans for Front of Pack labelling, both of which are currently under consideration by Welsh Government.
FDF Cymru, also works with member companies to support educational programs in Wales to advocate the benefits of breakfast clubs, promote the benefits of a healthy balanced diet, and to showcase the significant efforts of members to engage in reformulation.

Healthy Weight Healthy Wales
Health along with food is policy that is devolved to the national governments. In June as part of the overarching strategy on Obesity, Healthy Weight Healthy Wales, Welsh government announced two consultations:
- Healthy Food Environment
- Sale of Energy Drinks to Children
The aims of the proposals from Government are to effectively make "Healthy Choice the Easy choice"
Along with our members we are drafting responses to both consultations.
