In 2023, Schar UK launched an entirely new and innovative gluten-free product – the Schar flat bread. In line with their commitment to maximise the content of all new and existing products, this new product contains 8.2g fibre per 100g, alongside being low in saturated fat and sugar.

This product was launched in response to an identified gap in the gluten-free market with regards to multi-use/ multi-occasion gluten-free bread alternatives. Fibre content was maximised via the addition of a combination of natural vegetables fibres (bamboo and psyllium). The product was promoted via a series of social media reels, featuring key product attributes, including fibre content. The product was extremely well received by consumers and currently has distribution in Tesco, with a view to increased distribution during 2024.
