Labour in Government: The Politics Influencing the Food & Drink Sector
09 October 2024
Businesses across the UK are busy trying to understand the new Labour Government and what it will mean for them. With the food and drink sector being one of the largest contributors to the UK economy, Labour knows that the success of the industry is crucial to achieving growth – but they’ve got big plans and you need to be prepared.
Watch this webinar, where Lexington will help you to understand what the Government will be focusing on in the coming months, who the keys players are, and how the food and drink sector can play a role in shaping their work.
In this webinar, Lexington cover:
- The individuals you need to know – within No10, those across Westminster and Whitehall, and others such as regional Mayors – how they are interacting, and how you will see this play out in policy.
- Key policy areas to look out for and what the political challenges surrounding them are, including the politics of EU relations, trade, child obesity, food regulations and more.
- How food and drink manufacturers need to position themselves and interact with Government to set themselves up for success and contribute to the objectives of Government.
